Why ?

Because your way of perceiving, feeling and understanding the world around you depends on your nervous system. Also, the way you perceive, feel and understand yourself, that as well goes through your nervous system. The nervous system is the tool through which your inner being experiences life.

So what ?

So, whatever is happening inside of you, feeling bad about a situation, feeling overwhelmed from everyday life, feeling irritated or calm, having a clear thought or not, feeling aggressed or aggressing others, all depends on the state of your nervous system. And this gets more complex if you take in account that your nervous system also governs all other functions in your body such as hormonal release, digestion, sleep, circulation and immunity. â€‹â€‹

If your nervous system is very tense, all those other functions will follow the same pattern and probably create health issues.  

Digestion is blocked if the nervous system is tense for example. If this happens constantly, a constipated digestion will create immune system disbalances and poor elimination of toxins. Accumulated toxins impact blood circulation and eventually cognitive functions as well, etc. Everything is related inside the body. Outside as well.

In this workshop 

I wish to transmit you
i) some basic knowledge of the nervous system, so that you can recognise and train your awareness on your automated reactions and
ii) concrete tools that help you adjust the function of the nervous system on a daily basis.

How ?

We will meet online 4 times. In every session we will explore and define the different parts of the nervous system and we will practice together to tune the nervous system instantly. You will then have a daily "homework" practice until our next meeting and of course the class recorded if you need to listen to the concepts again later or to catch up.

Reality, perception and the nervous system 

Every mystical movement, all scientific thought and all philosophical reflection throughout times have been in search of the One Great Truth. This truth exists and it is one and the same everlasting, omnipresent. Why isn't it obvious to all of us? Because between this truth and the reality we experience in our daily human lives, there is a margin of translation. This margin of interpretation of the reality experienced by each person depends on the state of their nervous system.

 

In this first workshop, I wish to convey some basic notions of the functioning of the nervous system so that you can identify and understand some of your unconscious and often automated reactions. We will then experience how, with certain specific techniques, we can instantly modify the state of the nervous system and reach the so-called states of inner peace and mental clarity.

The 3 spheres of the nervous system and their consciousness â€‹

We often talk about nerves and our brains, but do we really know what we're talking about? Scientific knowledge often seems complex and difficult to understand. In this workshop, we explore the different parts of the nervous system in a light and intuitive way. Our nervous system is made up of different parts, some conscious and others unconscious, some activating and others relaxing. Moreover, we have what we call a second brain in our gut, the one that manages the incredible work of digestion!

In this workshop, I want you to experience these different parts and gradually make them conscious. This way, you'll be able to modulate them at will and use them as a source of intuitive information in your everyday life. Because the potential of our brain is much greater than what you experience now.

The sacred equilibrium of the autonomous nervous system â€‹

​Our neurons are responsible for cognitive functions, and our nerves are responsible for managing the activity of the organs. The so-called autonomic branch is divided into two branches: the action branch (described in yoga as masculine energy) and the rest branch (feminine energy). The key to a balanced mind lies in the balance of activity between these two branches. In this workshop, we will delve into the interplay of these two systems. Their function is often unconscious and automatic; otherwise, our heart could stop beating at any moment. These two branches can be activated by a whole range of stimuli without our brain even realizing it. My goal is to make you aware of how your body automatically reacts in every moment of daily life and to give you the tools to return to balance when you need it.

Interoception and knowing thyself â€‹â€‹â€‹

Each nerve sends signals from the body to the brain. We perceive some signals very clearly, such as pain signals, because they are vital to the body. Others are more subtle, and if we haven't learned to recognize them since childhood, their signaling isn't reinforced and therefore remains imperceptible in adulthood.

On the path to self-knowledge, our system learns to feel and listen to each part of the body, and this listening becomes, over time and with repetition, our most precious guidance in life, giving us clarity in every decision and resolution in every difficult moment.

As in every workshop, there will be theory to understand the basic mechanism and practice to work on and concretely modify our nervous system. The nervous system is flexible, regenerates itself, and learns through repetition. We therefore have a lot of potential because this means it can adapt to anything. It can recover lost functions, improve certain cognitive functions and expand one's own consciousness, if one has the desire and perseverance to repeat the practice until its complete integration.
